MOUSE AGILITY

Red Hearts Through A Tire Jump
Mouse Agility!! Agility with Mice? You bet!! Mice can have fun learning and enjoying the agility equipment of a Mouse Sized Agility Course. Are they hard to train? Not to hard if you are willing to spend time with your animals.

I have had, bred and trained animals of all sizes for over 40 years. My husband, who is younger then I, has not trained animals as long as I have (obviously), but boy is he an incredible trainer. He and I met when we were mushers/sled dog racers, we met on snow running dogs.

We have been training Fancy Pet Rats/Ratties to do agility for a few years now. One of our Ratties, named Sugar, is/was featured in RATS Magazine on page 88 with a feature on Rat Agility.

From Fancy Rat Agility we started working with Rabbits, Hamsters, Gerbils and Mice and on even smaller agility equipment. We have had a good time playing with, training and working with our animals....and the animals love it too.

We design and make our own agility equipment. Many people saw it and asked us if we would make them a set for their animals...now we sell sets as well as pieces of equipment here on our sites.

Red Hearts Through The Clock Jump
Each of the "littles", that is hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, will need it's own set of agility equipment. A rat's agility equipment is too large for gerbils, hamsters, and mice...and so their equipment too small for the rat. The same is true for mice and gerbil sized equipment.

Mice need their own set of equipment even if some of it will be some of the same items as gerbils and hamsters. Mice are prey animals and do not like the smell of other animals on their "stuff". It will make your mouse very nervous, when they smell that another species has been on and used "their" agility equipment (or any other toys they might have). Now mind you....YES!!...you can use your mouse agility equipment for all of your mice at different times.

Each piece needs to be the right size and stable enough for the animal to use.

We do have a couple of videos of our little rattie named Nineveh at YouTube. Both times it was her first time trying her tricks. We need another video camera to update more often....but we should have more videos up soon...including Red Hearts, our agility mouse, on an Agility Course. Anyway, have a look, they are really fun and do not end at the credits. There is also a fashion show to be seen.

THANKS TO MY HUSBAND WHO SURPRISED ME WITH THIS MOUSE SITE!!

The contents of this page for Front Page is still under construction. We work on our websites almost every day. LOL Please visit my other sites to photos of our animals and the things we do with them. Please check back here often for more information on mice!!

WE HOST A COUPLE OF YAHOO eLISTS THAT WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO JOIN

These elists are a great place to ask questions, meet other people with the same interests, get encouraged to start or keep training your small animals, and of course share photos and much more. These are great lists with wonderful pet owning and loving people that love to "chat" about their animals or help you with yours.
